The controller is GoGo GmbH, Tucholskystraße 41, 10117 Berlin, Germany (Amtsgericht Charlottenburg, HRB 164655 B), info@gogo.chat. This policy covers the GoGo app, the website tellgogo.com (and the domains that lead to it, such as gogo.chat and tellgogo.app) and support conversations.
Honesty needs a locked room. Your tells stay yours. We do not sell personal data. We do not run advertising, we build no advertising profiles, and we do not share your information with third parties for their marketing. We collect only what GoGo needs to work for you.
Tells are free text about your life. They can contain sensitive information, sometimes information that counts as a special category of personal data under Art. 9 GDPR (for example about your health or your beliefs). We process such content only to provide GoGo to you, and only with your explicit consent, which you give in the app before your first tell. You can withdraw that consent at any time by deleting the content or everything; the withdrawal does not affect processing that happened before it.
GoGo runs on a small set of service providers, each bound by a data processing agreement and allowed to use your data only for us: cloud hosting and storage; AI language model providers, which generate GoGo’s replies from your tells and are contractually barred from using your content to train their models; speech-to-text, which transcribes your voice tells; phone-number verification by Google (Firebase Authentication, Google Ireland Limited): if you save your account, Google receives your phone number to send you the SMS code and stores it to prevent spam and abuse, under Google’s terms; a crash-reporting service; an attribution partner that measures which of our ads brought you to GoGo (and, if you allowed tracking, the ad platform that showed you the ad, under its own privacy policy); e-mail for support. Apple and Google process your purchase and deliver push notifications under their own privacy policies. We use no third-party marketing tools inside GoGo and show no ads. The current list of providers is available on request at info@gogo.chat.
Some providers process data outside the EU/EEA, in particular in the United States. Where that happens we rely on the EU Standard Contractual Clauses and, where the provider is certified, on the EU–US Data Privacy Framework, together with additional safeguards such as encryption.
For as long as you use GoGo or keep a backup, plus the statutory retention periods where the law requires them (for example invoicing records). Technical logs are kept for a short rolling period. Audio is not kept after transcription.
You are in control of the room. In the app you can delete a single tell (it disappears from your history and from what GoGo builds on) or delete everything, your tells and your backup, which removes your content from our production systems within 30 days; backups expire on a rolling basis after that. You can also ask for deletion by writing to info@gogo.chat.
You have the right to access your data, to have it corrected or erased, to restrict its processing, to receive it in a portable format, to object to processing based on legitimate interest, and to withdraw a consent at any time. Write to info@gogo.chat; we answer within one month. You can complain to a supervisory authority; for us that is the Berliner Beauftragte für Datenschutz und Informationsfreiheit. GoGo makes no automated decisions about you with legal or similarly significant effects (Art. 22 GDPR).
If you are a California resident (CCPA/CPRA) or live in another US state with a privacy law: we collect the categories described in section 3 (identifiers, user content, commercial information, device and usage information) for the purposes in section 5. We do not sell personal information and have not done so in the preceding 12 months. Passing install and purchase events to the platform that showed you one of our ads may count as “sharing” for cross-context behavioural advertising under California law; you can opt out of it by declining tracking when the app asks, or at any time at info@gogo.chat (“Do not share my personal information”). We use sensitive personal information only to provide the service you asked for. You have the right to know, to correct, to delete, and not to be discriminated against for exercising these rights. Exercise them in the app or at info@gogo.chat; an authorised agent may act for you.
What you tell GoGo can relate to your mental or physical health, and under the Washington My Health My Data Act and similar laws such information is consumer health data. We collect it only from you, only with your consent (section 4), and only to provide GoGo to you; we do not sell it, we do not use it for advertising, and we share it only with the processors in section 6 for that purpose. You can access it in the app, delete it (a single tell or everything, section 9) and withdraw your consent at any time by deleting your content or everything; requests also at info@gogo.chat, answered within 45 days. We collect no precise geolocation and set no geofences.
Encryption in transit and at rest, secure cloud infrastructure, strict access controls and least-privilege access for our team. No system can guarantee absolute security, but we treat your tells as what they are: a locked room.
GoGo is not intended for anyone under 16, and we do not knowingly collect data from children under 16. If you believe a child has given us data, contact us and we will delete it.
tellgogo.com is a static page, served by Cloudflare (Cloudflare, Inc., San Francisco, USA; certified under the EU–US Data Privacy Framework and bound by its data processing addendum). To deliver and protect the page, the server processes connection data (IP address, time, requested page, browser type) for a short period (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). The page sets no cookies, stores nothing on your device, runs no analytics and no tracking, and loads its fonts from our own server, not from a third party. The demo on the page plays with made-up tells; nothing you see there is read from you. The App Store link leads to Apple.
We will update this policy as GoGo evolves and announce material changes in the app. The current version always lives at this address.
